The Loose Women panel broke into fits of giggles at Brendas comment with Coleen, Nolan joking: ‘I’m going home.’
‘No no, I mean because you are usually so fluid, floppy, you know what I mean,’ Brenda continued.
While Ashley answered: ‘Being stiff has always come naturally to me. So, it’s something that I’m good at.’
The dancer will star in the West End production alongside Jason Manford, who will play the Cowardly Lion.
In April, Ashley broke his silence after splitting from his wife of 16 years, insisting the children are their priority.
The Dancing On Ice judge, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 with group Diversity, announced he and childhood sweetheart Francesca had taken the ‘difficult decision’ to separate with a joint statement in December.
Together the former couple share daughters Rose, four, and Micah, two, who Ashley says are now old enough to understand their dad found fame on the ITV show and enjoy rewatching his performances on YouTube.
And their fondness of the series is shared among Ashley, who still tunes into the competition to scope out new talent on the dance scene.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Ashley revealed that co-parenting his two children alongside Francesca and ensuring their happiness is his number one goal in life.
He said: ‘At the end of the day, for me when it comes to life my children are my priority and looking after my family and my babies and making sure they’re happy and their lives are good is number one.
‘Now they’re old enough, my children enjoy watching BGT performances on YouTube, they always get up Diversity performances and they want to watch their daddy, which is super cute, and I love watching the old performances with them.’
Ashley also said he still makes an effort to keep up with the action on BGT and even teased Diversity could be performing during the show’s live final.
