Brian Austin Green refuses to spill details about his brief fling with the late Shannen Doherty

Brian Austin Green is remaining tight-lipped about his brief fling with Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Shannen Doherty.

Green, 51, and Doherty, who passed away in July after many years of fighting breast cancer, had a brief fling years after they starred on 90210.

The actor was a surprise guest on the Charmed podcast House of Halliwell, which was filmed live at 90s Con in Florida, featuring Charmed stars Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowen, Brian Krause, Drew Fuller and Dorian Gregory.

Doherty admitted on the House of Halliwell podcast earlier this year that they had a ‘really short-lived hookup.’

Green has yet to share anything about the fling, and he wouldn’t delve into it during the live podcast over the weekend.

‘I’m not giving any details to any of you,’ Green joked during the live podcast in Florida over the weekend.

Combs revealed she was unaware, ‘how close’ he was with Shannen until she told her recently.

‘She waited quite a while to tell me that. She was very honest [and] I think that’s the trait I take from her,’ Combs said.

Combs also praised Green for remaining, ‘best friends’ with Doherty after their brief fling.

Green joked that he was, ‘getting my ass handed to me,’ as Combs added that shannen, ‘did say you have a really nice a**.’

Doherty explained on Tori Spelling’s Misspelling podcast earlier this year, ‘Maybe I was doing Charmed? I don’t know, it was so much later (than Beverly Hills, 90210).

She added, ‘We tried something, and we just went, “Yeah this isn’t going to work.” The kissing didn’t even make sense.’

Doherty continued, ‘I can’t imagine it now, either. That’s why it didn’t go anywhere because it was awkward. It was super awkward.’

‘There were no fireworks. We were so close, and we had known each other [when] we were little kids essentially,’ she said.

Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh in the hit 1990s show, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.

Just two years later, the Charmed star revealed that the cancer had returned after going into remission.
