Bride, 18, is flown to Moscow by private jet in her £155K designer gown

A stunning bride has flown to Moscow from Chechnya by private jet wearing her wedding gown as she travelled to the second part of her lavish nuptials.

Khava Zaurbekova, 18, wed Moscow University student Akhmed Dzhabrailov, scion of a well-known Chechen clan in regional capital Grozny.

Here the local custom is that the bride’s relatives do not attend the ceremony.

She had to be helped on board the private jet in her lavish Zuhair Murad gown, estimated to have cost £155K, to fly to the Russian capital for her ‘second wedding’.

Some 500 guests have been invited to celebrations at the fashionable Safisa restaurant, complete with a cake valued at around £35,000, say reports.

The bride’s wedding dress was made by famous Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad who also created gowns for made dresses for other fashionable Russian brides Maria Chigirinskaya, an oligarch’s daughter, and Maryam and Elina Bazhaeva, also daughters of an oligarch.

The dresses cost more than $200,000, but the cost of Kahva’s gown has not yet been revealed.

Chechen entertainers are being flown in for the event – and Russian and foreign singers, usually popular for high society weddings, have been excluded, according to the groom’s father Khussein Dzhabrailov, a former vice premier of Chechnya.

The groom’s uncle Umar Dzhabrailov, 60, a controversial millionaire and ex-senator, was fined £5,800 last year after he shot a Yarygin pistol in the air at the Four Seasons Hotel, close to the Kremlin.

The shooting was one off the most controversial contract killings of the wild 1990s in Moscow, following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

He always denied having anything to do with the murder.

Dzhabrailov and Tatum jointly ran the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow.

In the wake of the killing, he was banned from travelling to the US.

He was reputed to be the role model for a Chechen godfather in Frederick Forsyth’s novel, Icon.
