Bride’s messy bun is compared to a BIRD’S NEST

Here comes the BIRD! Bride’s messy bun is compared to a giant NEST by critics as others dub the voluminous up-do a ‘monstrosity’

  • Wedding photos shared to Facebook group show US bride with messy up-do
  • Users dubbed the look a ‘monstrosity’ while others said it looks like a ‘bird’s nest’
  • Another added the hairstyle looked like it would cause a headache during night

A bride’s up-do has been compared to a ‘bird’s nest’ as social media users confess they want to ‘fight the hairdresser who created this monstrosity’.

The wedding photographs, shared to the That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming Facebook group, captured the bride and groom, believed to be from the US, as they shared a moment together after the ceremony.

But the edited snaps drew attention for an unfortunate reason, with social media users writing that the bride’s messy bun resembled a ‘bird’s nest’ rather than a sleek up-do.

Sharing the images, in which the groom’s face was replaced with that of Matt LeBlanc, a user wrote: ‘Everything about her wedding was gorgeous… but her hair.

‘Every time she posts throwbacks to her wedding, I wanna fight not only the hairdresser who created this monstrosity, but also every friend or family member that didn’t tell her she looked like a literal bird’s nest was firmly planted on her head.’

Other social media users quickly took to the comments of the post to agree, with one asking ‘How many birds tried to lay eggs that day?’

Another wrote: ‘Actually looks like a rat’s nest. Poor girl’.

‘I feel like she must have had a terrible headache by the end of the night with all that going on up there’, commented a third.

Others wrote that they would have redone their hair themselves if they had been left with the style by a hairdresser.

‘It’s what my hair looks like right now… And I just woke up’, said a user.

Another added: ‘I know these giant bird nest buns are a thing. but I do not get it. What is the appeal of this look?’

It comes as a mother whose viewing of the new Frozen 2 film was obscured by an ‘inconsiderate’ woman with a ‘huge bun’ called for cinemas to introduce a strict hairdo policy.

Ellie Hensby, 28, from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, had taken her children to watch the sequel to the 2013 hit film at the Vue Cinema in Meadowhall, when she was left with ‘absolutely no chance’ of seeing the animated movie.

The mother-of-two, who had settled down to watch the musical fantasy as a post-Christmas treat, claimed that she was left struggling to watch the film and was unable to move seats as the cinema was ‘rammed’.

The frustrated cinema-goer, who sent an online complaint to Vue via Facebook, said: ‘I had to sit extremely uncomfortably just so I could see some of the film so I was really annoyed that someone would wear their hair like that and not consider how it would affect the person sat behind them.

The frustrated mother took to Facebook to share a picture of a woman donning a 'huge bun' during a screening of Frozen 2 at Vue Cinema in Meadowhall, on January 2
