The heartbroken daughter of a man killed in an alleged domestic violence incident overnight says her father ‘did not deserve this’.

Griffith Caetano died in the early hours of Sunday morning at a home in Brighton-Le-Sands, a beachside suburb in Sydney’s south-east.

Police were called to the home at 1.10am where they found Mr Caetano, 51, unconscious and unsuccessfully attempted to revive him.

His tearful daughter Jessica told media outside the home on Sunday that the father-of-three ‘was a kid at heart’ and her family was shattered by his death.

‘The best way to describe him is probably a kid at heart… a fun, loving and caring person,’ Jessica said, with her mother and Mr Caetano’s ex-wife by her side.

‘I don’t think he deserved this at all.’
