Bristol Palin hits back at criticism over her failure to meet her sister’s twins

Bristol Palin has opened up about not being able to fly home to Alaska to meet her sister Willow’s newborn twin daughters — while hitting back at claims that she is angry her younger sibling has stolen her ‘dream baby name.’

The 29-year-old mom was answering fans’ questions on her Instagram Story on Sunday when someone asked when she will get to see her new nieces Blaise Indi Mae and Banks Bianca Ann, who were born on November 17.

‘Hopefully soon,’ said Bristol, who is based in Austin, Texas. ‘So many people comment on this… not sure if they realize that I’m 4,000 miles away from home, don’t have much help with my kids, and can’t just hop on a flight across the country.’

The single mom has two daughters of her own: Sailor Grace, three, and Atlee Bay, two, whom she shares with her ex-husband Dakota Meyer. She also has a son Tripp, 10, with her former fiance Levi Johnston.

Bristol not only missed the birth of Willow’s twins, but she also failed to attend her younger sister’s baby shower in September, though she did send her plenty of gifts.

An hour or so before her impromptu Q&A session, Willow, 25, shared a sweet video of her baby girls cooing and cuddling with each other on her Instagram Story.

‘Best sister friends,’ she wrote, tagging her younger sister Piper, 18, but not Bristol.

The Teen Mom OG star’s relationship with her sister seems to be on her fans’ minds, and one person couldn’t resist asking how she felt about Willow naming one of her daughters Blaise, insinuating that she had stolen Bristol’s baby name.

RadarOnline has reported that the sisters have been estranged for over a year after Bristol allegedly left Willow’s wedding after a massive fight about their troubled brother Track being invited to the nuptials.

According to the outlet, the tension between them is higher than ever after Willow has stolen Bristol’s ‘dream baby name.’

As some fans recalled, Bristol revealed in an Instagram Q&A last March that if she had a baby girl tomorrow, she would name her Blaise. However, she has also made it clear that she doesn’t plan on having any more children.

Bristol seemed to be using her Q&A to squash reports that she and her sister are feuding. When asked about her little sister taking the name Blaise for her own daughter, the real estate agent replied: ‘I think it’s perfect.’

‘My sisters have way cuter style,’ she said. ‘I wear a uniform of a plain black tee with distressed denim, skirt, or slacks everyday [sic].’

It’s unclear if Bristol and her children will be flying to Alaska this week to spend Thanksgiving with her family and meet her nieces.

During the Q&A, she was asked for advice on how to handle living far away from family, but she admitted that she doesn’t have any answers because it hasn’t gotten any easier for her.

‘Wish I knew good advice for this,’ she wrote. ‘Literally just ugly cried on FT with my sisters.. Nothing takes away the suck.’

However, Bristol and her children have made a life for themselves in Austin, and she noted her favorite thing about the city is ‘all our friends here.’

She also revealed she has big plans for the new year, telling her followers: ‘I’ve got a laundry list of goals I’m determined to hit.’

While Bristol has been away from home, Willow has gotten plenty of support from Piper, whom she praised last week for helping her and her husband Rickey Bailey after they welcomed their twins.

The new mom shared a photo of Piper holding babies Banks and Blaise, writing: ‘My sweet sister @piper.p has been by our side the entire time. We love her sooooo much.’

In the sweet snapshot, Piper has a swaddled baby in each of her arms as she smiles for the camera while holding hew nieces in the hospital.

Though she couldn’t be with her sisters and nieces, Bristol celebrated the new arrivals by reposting a snapshot of the twins sleeping in their pink onesies, which was originally shared by Willow.

‘Banks and Blaise,’ Bristol wrote. ‘Cannot wait to squeeze these teeny tinies!!! congrats to my baby sis @wbf_ & brother-in-law on welcoming the newest babes, lucky little ladies to have such a great mama & daddy.’

And while she no longer lives in Alaska, she is still gunning to be the girls’ favorite aunt and has let Piper know that she has some competition.

When Willow shared the image of the girls sleeping, Bristol commented: ‘DEMS NEED ME!!!! Proud of you, can’t wait to squeeze them, spoil them and be their favorite auntie @piper.p.’

Bristol celebrated her own personal milestone earlier this month when she introduced her new boyfriend Janson Moore on social media.

The 24-year-old Texas native finalized his divorce from his former wife Makenzie Housenfluck, 25, in August, just three months before Bristol made their relationship Instagram official.

Janson is currently working as a medical sales representative in Austin, and according to his Insta profile, he’s a former Texas A&M quarterback and a ‘follower of the living Christ.’

He’s also a proud dog dad, who manages a separate account for his German shorthaired pointer, named Remington Mak Moore.

His Instagram shows off his affinity for hunting, Jesus, and shirtless post-workout selfies.

Janson’s brief marriage doesn’t seem to be a deal-breaker for Bristol, who was only married to her ex-husband Dakota for two years before they divorced in 2018.
