Britain’s Got Talent: Alesha Dixon, 40, confirms she is expecting her second child

Alesha Dixon has confirmed she is expecting her second child with husband Azuka Ononye.

The singer and presenter broke the news while appearing on Monday evening’s Britain’s Got Talent. 

Taking to the stage during the first live show of the current series, Alesha, 40, revealed her prominent baby bump in a form-fitting back minidress with a distinctive gold frill. 

The reveal was pre-empted by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who referenced her pregnancy in a Morcambe and Wise style opening skit. 

Alesha later admitted she was ecstatic to be  expecting her second child with Ononye, six years after welcoming daughter Azura. 

‘It’s a lovely place to celebrate it,’ she said, gesturing to the audience gathered inside London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

Taking to Twitter following the announcement, fans praise the star, with one writing: ‘Alesha Dixon looks completely incredible pregnant. 

‘I actually hid and was way too busy throwing up to show off my bump. I’d have loved to have been an Alesha !!!! Lovely to watch.’

While another added: ‘Congratulations to former Strictly judge Alesha Dixon who has announced the news that she is pregnant during the first semi final for Britain’s Got Talent.’ 

Referencing her dress, a third joked: ‘congrats to alesha dixon an all but she looks like a celebrations wrapper in that getup.’

Alesha announced the birth of her first child on October 7, 2013 – the singer’s 35th birthday – four months after confirming her pregnancy.  

She wrote on Twitter: ‘Thank you for all of your lovely birthday messages! I’ve had the best present in the world………

‘My baby girl Azura Sienna was born last week!!! I’m elated and over the moon 🙂 x.’
