There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when singer Jacob Jones surprised the audience at the end of his audition by asking partner Faye Compton to marry him.

On the episode, which will air this weekend on ITV, the 27-year-old singer, from Surrey, wows the judges with his incredible voice and then says he had one more thing he would like to do.

The pair have a nine-month-old daughter, Nancy Rae, and have been together for almost two years after a whirlwind romance.
