British 19-year-old is killed and passenger is injured after crashing quad bike ‘at slow speed’ in Greece

A British 19-year-old has been killed in Greece after he was crushed when he overturned a quadbike.
The incident happened on the island of Zakynthos in the early hours of Friday morning. The quadbike made a sudden deviation from its its course, causing fatal injuries to the British teen.
Another 19-year-old passenger was also involved in the accident in the village of Mesos Gerakariou, but only suffered minor bruises.
Both were wearing helmets, ERT Zakynthos reported, and were said to be moving at a slow speed.
The unnamed driver is then said to have made sudden jagged movements, toppling the vehicle and crushing himself beneath.
The fatal incident happened on the island of Zakynthos in the early hours of Friday morning
Emergency services arrived at the scene and the teen was taken to Zakynthos hospital. He was then pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation is now being carried out by local police to determine the events that led to the death.
The body of the 19-year-old will also undergo an autopsy and toxicological examination.
