A murder investigation has been launched in Gibraltar after a mother was stabbed to death.
Carolina Elizabeth Lishman, 32, was found in a flat alongside a man in his 40s who also had serious knife wounds.
Mother-of-two Lishman was treated at the scene on Wednesday evening before being rushed to nearby St. Bernard’s Hospital.

The unnamed man remains in a critical condition in hospital at the British Overseas Territory.
One local resident described Lishman, who is said to have grown up in north London, as ‘a lovely girl’.
‘She was very quiet. They lived in London for many years. She had two very young children,’ he said.
‘There are very few murders in Gibraltar.’
The Royal Gibraltar Police said there was no danger to the public and are not looking for anybody else as they launch their probe.
‘Members of the RGP’s Crime and Protective Services Division have been recalled and a murder investigation has been instigated with a crime scene investigation being conducted at the residence,’ the RGP said.
‘The investigation is being led by a Senior Investigating Officer.’
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forwards.
Gibraltar’s leader, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo, called for people to respect the woman’s family at ‘this tragic time’.
‘I urge all to think first of the deceased & the family. The harrowing circumstances of this matter are not for social media speculation,’ said Picardo.
The last murders in Gibraltar took place in 2015 when a Welsh man slaughtered his young family.
John Shannon butchered his partner and two children with a knife before slashing his throat and committing suicide.
Shannon, 37, who was suffering from extreme paranoia, was on steroids, cannabis and alcohol at the time of the attack.
