Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari signed ‘iron-clad’ prenup before wedding

Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari won’t get a cent of her fortune if they divorce after the couple signed ‘iron-clad’ prenup

  • Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement
  • The document will let the two keep all of the assets they had before marrying
  • If the 28-year-old singer divorces, she’ll retain her vast fortune
  • It was reportedly Spears’ team who urged the couple to sign the document

Britney Spears’ millions are protected from the worst case scenario, as she and her new husband Sam Asghari signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding on Thursday.

The 40-year-old pop superstar and the 28-year-old aspiring actor both have their wealth protected under the agreement, TMZ reported on Monday.

Under the document’s conditions, if the two were to split down the road, Sam wouldn’t get a cent of any of the tens of millions that Britney earned prior to tying the knot.

The prenup was described as ‘ironclad’ by the outlet, and the singer certainly has plenty of assets to protect.

It was reportedly Britney’s team that got the ball rolling on the prenuptial agreement shortly after Sam proposed to her.

It’s unclear if Sam would be able to take a portion of any money his wife earns while they’re married if they should split in the future.

Although she expressed that she wasn’t interested in performing or touring as long as her conservatorship was in place, Spear may be interested in getting back to her music career now that she’s in driver’s seat.

As of last year, the hitmaker had a net worth of around $60 million, according to the New York Times.

An insider previously claimed to the New Yorker that Spears previously had a multi-million dollar fortune in the early 2000s, but it had been whittled down to only ‘a few million dollars’ when her conservatorship was established in 2008.

The arrangement doled out a $2,000-per-week allowance for the songstress, but her father paid himself around $16,000 per month to run the conservatorship, and her former court-appoint attorney Samuel Ingham III was paid a yearly salary of $520,000, according to the New Yorker.

Britney previously had a prenuptial agreement in place for her previous marriage to Kevin Federline. The former couple share two teenage sons: Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15.

Since getting married to Sam, Britney has been celebrating the union on Instagram with choice snaps from the celebration.

‘Fairytales are real,’ she captioned a romantic video featuring clips of her big day.

The bride looked stunning in a white dress with a high slit and a delicate veil that was designed for her by one of her guests, Donatella Versace.

The wedding had plenty of other A-listers, including her longtime friend Paris Hilton and her mother Kathy, Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez and even Madonna.

One of her videos featured her dancing with the Like A Prayer icon to Madonna’s music, and they even recreated their famous kiss from the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
