Britney Spears ‘has been getting close’ with a man with an extensive criminal record who once worked as her housekeeper, in the wake of her breakup with estranged husband Sam Asghari.

The Grammy-winning singer, 41, has ‘formed a close bond’ and been ‘spending time since her split’ with her one-time housekeeper, identified as Paul Richard Soliz, 37, a source told Page Six on Thursday.

The source told the outlet they were ‘concerned’ about the developing relationship between Soliz and Spears – who is fresh from splitting from Asghari, 29, after a 14-month marriage.

The Oops!… I Did It Again vocalist was seen driving a white Mercedes-Benz with a mystery man in Calabasas, California on Wednesday, as a man in her passenger seat was wearing a San Francisco Giants baseball cap.

The McComb, Mississippi-born entertainer was seen going through a Starbucks drive-thru on the daytime outing.

Soliz and the Toxic artist first crossed paths ‘about a year ago,’ a source told the outlet, noting Soliz had been hired to work at her Thousand Oaks, California mansion to ‘clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash.’

Insiders told Page Six that Soliz was fired from his job working for Spears, but she ‘has still chosen to spend time with’ him ‘and is not trying to hide their new-found friendship.’

The insider told the outlet that Spears’ camp did not proceed with a background check in the hiring of Soliz, who has had multiple run-ins with the law.

According to legal records reviewed by the outlet, Soliz last December was convicted in connection of felony firearm possession, during a time he was working for the singer.

Soliz in 2016 was convicted of driving without a license, the outlet reported, citing court docs. A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed that year after a plea agreement, according to Page Six.

The outlet, citing court documents, reported that Soliz was convicted in connection with disturbing the peace in of April 2014; and entered into a plea deal for a child endangerment charge to be dismissed.

Spears has been in isolation from friends and family in recent months, as there’s still ‘a lot of hurt’ from past issues, including the conservatorship she lived under for 13 years that her father Jamie Spears.

The main people she has been relying on include her manager, legal team and older brother Bryan Spears, who’s ‘staying over and helping her alongside a therapist,’ a source told Page Six.

Asghari filed for divorce from Spears August 16. In a statement to his Instagram account last week, he wrote: ‘After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.’

He continued: ‘We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always,’ adding: ‘S**t happens.’

He finished off his statement in saying, ‘Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.’
