Britney Spears’ Pride Month message inspires memes and jokes

Britney Spears’ Pride Month message to ‘friends AT the LGBTQ community’ inspires dozens of jokes – as people say she makes it sound like ‘it’s the YMCA’ or ‘we all live in a retirement home’

  • The 38-year-old hitmaker shared a Pride video and message on social media
  • ‘To all my friends at the LGBTQ community, happy Pride Month,’ she said
  • Twitter users are joking about how Britney said her friends were ‘at’ the LGBTQ community, as if it was a location
  • People are sharing jokes and memes of things they do ‘at the LGBTQ community’
  • Some social media users are pointing out that it almost sounds as though she was referring to a clubhouse or YMCA-like venue

Britney Spears has joined in the Pride celebrations, wishing her LGBTQ fans a happy month — but while fans are loving her sweet message, her video is going viral for a different reason.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old pop star uploaded the Pride video to Instagram and Twitter, where it’s been viewed over four million times combined.

But fans are fixated on the way Britney showed out to her fans ‘at the LTBTQ community,’ referring to the group of people as if they are a physical location.
