The couple will also hold off on arranging a pre-nuptial agreement until the singer’s long-term financial affairs are clarified.

Her father Jamie was suspended from the conservatorship on September 29th, a huge legal win for the pop star in her quest for freedom, but it is yet to be established if it will be passed to another party or dismissed.

Jamie previously held the power over all of her personal and financial decisions following her multiple involuntary holds in psychiatric hospitals.

In June, Britney gave an emotional 23-minute testimony during a hearing in a Los Angeles court where she pleaded with Judge Brenda Penny for freedom by ending the 13-year conservatorship.

She admitted: ‘I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy. It’s a lie. I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized.

‘Fake it ’til you make it, but now I’m telling you the truth, OK? I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m depressed. I cry every day.’

The singer said she did not feel she ‘was heard on any level’ the last time she was able to speak to the court in 2019.

‘I want changes and I want changes going forward,’ she said. ‘I deserve changes. I was told I have to sit down and be evaluated, again, if I want to end the conservatorship. Ma’am, I didn’t know I could petition the conservatorship to end it.

‘This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good. I deserve to have a life, I’ve worked my whole life. I deserve to have a two to three-year break.’

Jamie Spears has since made changes to his legal team in the wake of his suspension from the pop star’s conservatorship.

Jamie, 69, was suspended in September from the head of the longtime conservatorship, which was implemented 13 years ago amid a pileup of personal problems for the pop star.

He has hired Alex Weingarten of the firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher to move forward in the case, as the litigator is experienced in business and entertainment areas of the law, Variety reports.

Jamie’s previous lawyer Vivian L. Thoreen of the firm Holland & Knight LLP told Variety in a statement Thursday that her firm had parted ways with Jamie.

‘We are proud of our work on behalf of Jamie Spears and stand by his and our actions,’ Thoreen said in a statement. ‘We continue to have a good relationship, and are pleased that we have been able to help Jamie find new counsel.

‘I am confident that Jamie’s new counsel will continue to prove that he has always acted in Britney’s best interests every step of the way.’

The conservatorship currently remains intact, but could be terminated in a hearing scheduled for November 12th.
