Britney Spears will NOT do any TV interviews to promote her book The Woman In Me… after sharing even reading her memoir aloud was traumatic

Britney Spears has elected not to do any television interviews to promote her forthcoming memoir.

The 41-year-old pop icon – whose book The Woman In Me is full of bombshell claims – has already elicited buzz around the literary effort with published excerpts.

Spears is generally not interested in any sit-down format conversations with media, and a recent exchange with People was conducted via email.

There was once chatter that Spears had invitations to appear on 60 Minutes, or in an exclusive interview with Oprah, but those have been ruled out, TMZ reported.

The music sensation reportedly made the call to opt out of a press tour all on her own.

In extracts from the book, due out October 24, Britney unleashed shocking revelations.

She admitted to cheating on ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake with choreographer Wade Robson, following years of hearsay.

According to The Sun, Britney confirmed in her memoir that she kissed Wade during a night out.

She wrote: ‘We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.’

Britney also wrote that she was loyal to Justin for years ‘with that one exception.’

The star revealed she told Justin about her kiss with Wade and they were able to move past it and stay together.

The mother-of-two also divulged that she had an abortion during her relationship with Justin when she was 19-years-old.

Spears penned while she wanted the baby and ‘dreamed of having a family’ with Justin, who was also 19 at the time, he ultimately ‘wasn’t ready’ for the responsibilities of fatherhood.

In an excerpt published by People the songstress remembered: ‘It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.

‘He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young. I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby.

‘I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.’
