Britney Spears wraps up Las Vegas residency on a high note

Britney Spears is leaving Las Vegas a winner.

The 36-year-old singer took to Twitter Sunday to express her gratitude as her Sin City show Britney: Piece of Me drew to a close after four successful years.

‘It’s almost showtime!’ the Grammy-winner said. ‘I just want to say thank you to the #PieceOfMe cast and crew, the city of Las Vegas, and all of the fans who came out to sing, dance and party!!

Signing off: Britney Spears, 36, thanked her fans Sunday as she wrapped up her Las Vegas residency Britney: Piece of Me. She was snapped in Las Vegas in 2016

‘What an incredible four years!! Love you all!!’

The Make Me… singer first began at Planet Hollywood venue Axis in 2013 with an initial slate of 100 shows to be held over two years, according to Las Vegas Weekly.

The Oops!… I Did It Again artist was well-received in the gambling hub, and demand led to a projected end total of 249 shows with 900,000 tickets purchased to see the songstress, who’s been dating Sam Asghari, a personal trainer, for more than a year.

On Sunday, the songstress took to the stage in a leotard for her final show in the residency, part of which was simulcast on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

The Louisiana native said in a statement this past spring that she would be wrapping things up at year’s end.

‘As I prepare to say goodbye to Piece of Me, I had no idea how magical this experience would be,’ she said. ‘Having my fans from around the world come see my show has been amazing. I love Las Vegas and will miss performing this show.’

Brtiney’s manager Larry Rudolph, speaking to the Las Vegas Review-Journal in April, did not rule out the idea the successful singer could again return to the city for a residency.

‘Anything is possible. We have made zero decisions,’ he said. We expect a lot of interest from all parties. Britney basically sells out every show, and she loves Las Vegas, she loves performing in Vegas, and Vegas is a possibility going forward.

‘She might tour, she might work on a new album. It’s too early to talk specifics about anything.’
