Brittany Hockley slams ‘Karen’ over rude comments about her Bali nuptials: ‘Imagine writing that to someone on their wedding day’

Brittany Hockley has hit back at a rude ‘Karen’ who posted a hurtful comment on new wedding photos she shared to social media.

The former Bachelor star, 37, posted a screenshot which captured the mean-spirited remarks a woman made under images of Brittany and new her husband Ben Siegrist Bali nuptials. 

‘You look like a stripper,’ the troll wrote of Brittany’s Steven Khalil strapless wedding dress, which featured a lace corset and tulle flowing train.

The Life Uncut podcast host did not mince her words in response.

‘Imagine writing that to someone on their wedding day. Imagine feeling the need. Her name being Karen is too satisfying,’ Brittany said.

She also criticised the woman’s behaviour in a video.

‘Imagine what needs to be happening in your life to feel the need to comment on someone’s wedding photos,’ Brittany sniped.

‘It’s like the happiest day of their lives, in a beautiful dress, and you tell them they look like a stripper.’

‘You have to double-down if your name is Karen. Be a good human that is nice!’ Brittany added. 

The name ‘Karen’ has become a pop culture punchline – a meme used to describe a certain type of entitled woman who complains loudly over minor inconveniences.

Brittany married her Swiss footballer fiancé Ben during a ‘three-day extravaganza’ clifftop ceremony in Bali last week.

But there was just one ‘minor technical detail’ about the spectacular nuptials – the marriage is not legal.

The Life Uncut podcast host did not mince her words in response 

Brittany revealed the shock news to her KIIS FM’s The Pick Up listeners on Tuesday. 

‘You just got married in Bali,’ her long-time best friend and co-host Laura Byrne said. 

‘We obviously can talk about how amazing that is, but now that we’re here, we’re also going to talk about how it’s not legally binding yet.’

‘It’s a big show really,’ the bride admitted, joking that the wedding ‘was fake’.

The Life Uncut podcast announced Brittany’s engagement to Ben last year.

Brittany, who formerly described herself as ‘the perpetually single host’, had been dating Ben long-distance for eight months when he popped the question. 

The duo met in November 2022 on the celebrity dating app Raya.

At the time the goalkeeper’s soccer team, the Glasgow-based Celtic FC, was playing in Australia against Sydney FC.
