Bronny James makes his first THREE-POINTER for the Lakers as LeBron’s son answers his critics with best performance to date vs Hawks

Bronny James finally splashed in his first three-pointer for the Lakers on Wednesday night as the rookie broke out of his shooting slump vs. the Hawks – and had his best game of the summer.

James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, had struggled badly across the California and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, as he entered the matchup with Atlanta 0-15 from three-point range across four games.

However, he ended that drought in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game, as he drilled a pull-up three-pointer from the top of the arc.

He later hit a corner three in the fourth quarter for his second three-pointer of the game.

Ultimately, the 19-year-old had easily his best game of the summer thus far as he shot 5-of-11 and scored 12 points.

Entering the game, he had shot 7 for 31 (23 percent) across the four games before.

That list of misses included an ugly airball vs. the Celtics on Monday.

He finished that game 1-of-5 from the field with two points, and Boston star Jaylen Brown – who was courtside for the game – was apparently unimpressed.

Speaking to his girlfriend (and WNBA player) Kysre Gondrezick, Brown appeared to say, ‘I don’t think Bronny is a pro.’

Gondrezick then looked as if to say, ‘I think he’ll be on the G-league team for sure.’

Rich Paul, the agent for Bronny and his father Lebron, acknowledged the couple’s supposed comments afterwards on the Pat McAfee Show.

‘They have opinions. They can say what they wanna say,’ Paul began.

‘At least [Brown] is someone who is actually in the league… But I know Jaylen. I know he doesn’t mean that with any malice… He’s just having a conversation.’

The Lakers would go on to beat the Hawks 87-86.
