Brooklyn toddler has no money to pay bill at a restaurant

A little girl gets a dose of reality when she’s asked to pay the bill for a drink that she ordered in a restaurant in America.

Two-year-old Brooklyn was out for a meal with her grandparents at a Mexican eatery in South Carolina where she ordered an ice tea.

In the adorable video, taken by grandfather Alan Ray, 46, Brooklyn looks forlorn and confused when she’s asked to pay the bill.

But her little face lights up again when she declares, ‘No money!’ moments later as she slides the bill over to her grandpa.

In the video, Brooklyn is excited for the arrival of her refreshing beverage at the Yucatan Mexican Restaurant in Sumter.

But things change when the server brings Brooklyn the drink – and the $35 (approximately £27) bill to go with it.

Brooklyn’s reaction is priceless as her little face falls into a confused sulk and she squirms on her chair.

Alan is heard saying, ‘You got the bill. Are you paying for it?’

Brooklyn does not look like she wants to pay for it, nor does she look happy about ‘doing dishes’, as a voice in the video suggests.

The little girl’s grandmother, Maxine, 38, decides to step in, taking Brooklyn’s hand and sliding over the bill to Alan.

‘Here you go Pap-pap,’ says Maxine. ‘You pay the money.’

Brooklyn finally responds by saying, ‘No money’  as her face lights up in a smile again and she orders another ice tea to takeaway.
