Billionaire hedge fund manager Bruce Kovner is about to get richer.
Kovner sold his eye-popping Caribbean beachfront vacation home on the tiny island of St. Barthélemy for close to the asking price of $67million, despite damage from Hurricane Irma. However, it’s chump change for a guy worth a reported $5.5billion.
The real estate agent declined to identify the buyer, saying he is a ‘European businessman’ who plans to use the property as a vacation home, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The tropical estate, called Girasol, comes with seven acres of lush palm-tree glutted prime waterfront, a 175-yard private beach, and a two-acre coconut grove.
The buildings on the estate remained mostly intact after Irma tore through the island in September. However, the property’s lavish grounds were badly damaged.

The sale had been lined up since April, but the closing was delayed until a deal could be made with Kovner’s insurance company for the landscaping.
It also has two complete villas, so friends or a mother-in-law can come visit without cramping your style.
Originally built in 2002 by millionaire banker Benjamin de Rothschild, Kovner bought the stunning estate in 2005, and added a new pool and deck, according to Business Insider.
The estate has seven bedrooms and seven baths and comes with staff quarters and multimedia room.
