The Premier League has released a clip featuring a number of the division’s stars pronouncing their names as they should be in their native languages.

As arguably the biggest league in world club football, the Premier League attracts players from across the world, seeking to make it at one of the biggest clubs in the game.

As such, there are some names in the division that might be a bit harder for the English-speaking tongue to wrap itself around.

Therefore the Premier League has published a new video with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Dominik Szoboszlai and Kevin De Bruyne reading out their names with subtitles, so you might hear how they should be properly pronounced.

The video – which lasts almost a minute and a half – features some 35 players and two managers from across the league.

The clip begins with Hungary and Liverpool midfielder Szoboszlai, who is followed by Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol and Man United’s Rasmus Hojlund – all three of whom joined the league this summer.

Dejan Kulusevski, Mykhailo Mudryk and Bruno Guimaraes follow suit, before the likes of Anel Ahmedhodzic, Sasa Kalajdzic and Ilia Zabarnyi also read out their own names.

Notable surprises include De Bruyne (De Bruh-ner), Fernandes (Fer-nanj), Kaoru Mitoma (Kar Mi-toe-ma) and Bart Verbruggen (Bart Ver-bruh-hen).

Some of the bigger names to take part included Bryan Mbeumo, Joao Palhinha, Tomas Soucek, Alejandro Garnacho and Jakub Kiwior.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Pep Guardiola bring up the rear after Cherries star Yehor Yarmolyuk, the only two managers to feature in the video.

And you can see just how the names of the players involved are supposed to be pronounced at the video below.
