Overall, he has 15 goals and nine assists in all competitions during what is turning out to be a highly productive campaign for the player signed from Sporting Lisbon in January last year.
Fernandes had previously scooped the player of the month award in February, June and November. He becomes the first player to win it in back-to-back months since Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in March 2018.
