Parts of Tottenham’s wild celebrations after Lucas Moura’s 96th minute winner against Ajax on Wednesday night were missed as BT Sport accidentally cut to referee expert Peter Walton in the studio.
The BT cameras immediately panned to old footage of Harry Kane and Davinson Sanchez watching in the stands when Moura found the bottom corner to complete an incredible turnaround.
It then cut to Moura racing away and Ajax’s players rolling on the floor in despair, before inexplicably cutting to a grinning Walton in the studio.

The 59-year-old was on the screen for just a split second before the cameras finally caught up with the jubilant Spurs players as they joined Moura by the corner flag.
Walton may have been on screen for just the tiniest of moments but it did not stop eagle-eyed viewers pouring onto social media.
On Twitter, VinnyWHUFC wrote: ‘Peter Walton popping up like some satanic devil when that goal went in. He pressed a button to make it happen. Football is fixed.
One user asked: ‘Why is nobody talking about why the camera flicked to Peter Walton going mental in the VAR for a split second when Spurs scored?’
Another fan joked: ‘Absolute scenes, BT Sport cameras all over the gaff.’
While another complained: ‘Thanks to BT Sports cameras mucking up after the goal we got the best reaction.’
