A group of three robbed a Melbourne gym on Saturday, taking with them electronics and cash, but leaving behind fingerprints and faces.
Two men and a woman were seen on CCTV prying open the back door to the F45 gym at Epping in the early hours of Saturday morning, Channel 9 reported.
Their faces clearly visible under their pulled up tracksuit hoods, the trio enter the gym and head straight for the wall mounted television.
Failing to get it off the wall, the group head to the office, where they take a laptop, an iPad and $2,500.
Matt Slaney (pictured), the owner of the gym, was robbed on Saturday morning of a laptop, an iPad and $2,500. He said he hoped the thieves would buy nicer tracksuits with his money
The group, who also left fingerprints at the scene, are believed to be linked to a series of thefts from cars.
Matt Slaney, the owner of the gym, said the thieves were ‘scum’.
He believes the group are well known around the area, and there is ‘no mistaking’ who they are.
While the evidence left behind is likely to result in arrests, Mr Slaney has some ideas as to what the group could do while they remain on the run.
‘With the money they took from us they could potentially go to higher-class establishments to get themselves even better tracksuits and maybe even a nice pair of trainers as well,’ he said.
