Burglars use BEDSHEETS to hoist themselves into home

This brazen burglar ripped the sheet from his victim’s bed and hung it out of a first floor window to help his accomplice climb in.

The bungling pair were caught on camera stealing from the Solihull home before making off with six pairs of trainers, three Armani jackets, two Dolce and Gabbana watches and a metal safe.

Although they arrived at the property wearing masks the two men, who scaled the seven-foot gate to get in, removed them during the heist.

They dragged a bench across the garden where one of the thieves stood on it to hoist himself through an upstairs window during the evening of January 15.

The burglars stole from the home of Muhammad Imran Binali who is concerned that the two men may strike again.

He said: ‘We need to catch these thugs. I would consider myself lucky – I am more concerned that they may raid someone else’s house and this time the victim could be elderly or vulnerable.

‘The pair of them climbed the seven-foot gates to my home, then ran round the back where they dragged a heavy bench and dropped it under my bedroom window.

‘They stood on the bench, and one of the thieves gave the other a leg-up – he managed to pull himself up through my bedroom window.

‘That thief then ripped the sheets off my bed and threw them from the window, so the other thief could climb in.

‘I’ve never seen anything like it before. They both arrived with their faces fully covered but at some point they took both their masks off.

‘You can see in the footage they both lean out of the window as if they are checking no one is around – you can see both of their faces.

‘I am concerned they might do this again – maybe armed with a weapon and it could get nasty.

‘They need to be found.’

Police have issued an appeal to trace the pair.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: ‘I can confirm we are investigating a burglary which happened on January 15, between 7pm and 7.35pm.

‘An investigation is under way.

‘The males are believed to be linked to other burglary offences.

‘No arrests have been made to date. Anyone with information should call police on 101.’
