Butt-naked in Byron Bay: Seven skinny-dippers sneak into a luxury home to take a late night dip before filming a bizarre twerking video – and furious owner saw the whole thing on CCTV

  • Seven men were busted skinny dipping in a multi-millionaire’s backyard pool
  • They filmed themselves swimming, twerking on stairs and dancing in the yard
  • Eddie Phillips’ Byron Bay pool area was destroyed by the naked men on Sunday
  • The group allegedly ruined sunbeds, ceramic pots and a prized outdoor statue

A group of New Year’s Eve revellers were caught on home security footage skinny-dipping at a luxurious Byron Bay mansion.

The ‘naked invaders’ broke into real estate mogul Eddie Phillips’ home on Lee Lane – known as ‘millionaire’s row’ in the iconic northern NSW town – on Sunday night at about 3am to galivant around his pool without their clothes on.

Mr Phillips was on holiday in Phuket, Thailand, at the time, but tuned into his CCTV on the night to find the intruders living it up.

Footage shows seven naked men frolicking in his 22m infinity pool, before filming themselves twerking on his backyard steps.

The entrepreneur, dubbed the Spa King for his acquisition of luxury spa retreats across Asia, said his amusement with the streakers quickly turned sour once the group began destroying his furniture and outdoor ornaments.

‘They were nothing more than vandals,’ he told Nine News.

‘I would’ve turned a blind eye to the skinny dipping if there wasn’t any damage but once I discovered there were expensive statues and that destroyed, vandalised, I decided to get my people involved.’

The group allegedly destroyed about $10,000 worth of outdoor furniture including sunbeds, ceramic pots and a beloved statue inspired by East Asian religion.

‘These guys will be caught and they will be charged by the police and then I will be taking legal commercial action against them as well,’ Mr Phillips said.

The incident is being investigated by Tweed Byron Police District.

Trespassers in NSW can be fined up to $550 however it is likely the group would face harsher penalty for the excessive damage.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in is urged to contact police.
