Gustavo Aranda, 25, has been jailed on suspicion of carjacking and his bail has been set at $150,000. Police say they believe he went on a crime spree across the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday
A California man has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted women inside a nail salon and stole a vehicle.
Shocking video shows incident in which a man – allegedly 25-year-old Gustavo Aranda – attacks three women at Bio Laque Nails in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday morning.
The women were sisters Melda and Virginia Martinez Bojorquez, who were celebrating a birthday, and the salon owner, KTLA reports.
Authorities told the Los Angeles Daily News that Aranda seemingly had no motive for his alleged violent action.
The video shows him seeming to attack a woman at random, and what follows is an ‘intense fight for their life with the dangerous suspect’, police said.
At one point, the three women and the man began attacking each other with chairs. The man hit at least one of the victims with a chair.

The violence escalated and chairs inside the nail salon were used as weapons
Employees from a business nearby came on the scene after they were notified by the salon owner and were able to subdue the attacker.
One employee from a neighboring business, Rene Javier Solis, told KTLA: ‘I saw how badly wounded he was… I just looked over to [the sisters] and I was like, “Wow, I’m impressed.”‘
The sisters described to CBS Local how they ‘alternated’ taking turns attacking the man.
‘We alternated. When he was on top of her, I came and fought with him to rescue her,’ one of the sisters said at a press conference. ‘And when he turned his attention to me and started attacking me, she came to my aid.’
Aranda, of Chatsworth, was arrested at the scene around 12.30pm, police said.
The nail salon incident followed a carjacking at 8.25am in Van Nuys on the same day. Authorities have also tied Aranda to this incident.
He allegedly approached a man in the 14400 block of Gilmore Street and attacked him before stealing the keys to his 2007 gray Toyota 4 Runner.
An employee at another shop who came over in an effort to subdue the attacker said: ‘I saw how badly wounded he was… I just looked over to [the sisters] and I was like, “Wow, I’m impressed.”‘ The sisters are pictured at a press conference
Aranda is also accused of a carjacking in Van Nuys earlier on Wednesday. He allegedly assaulted a man and stole his 2007 gray Toyota 4 Runner
The car’s was discovered later that evening near where it was stolen, police said at a press conference.
Police said Aranda also attacked another individual on the street at one point.
Aranda, who was arrested, is described as a 5.5-foot-tall white male who was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, blue tennis shoes and a blue beanie when he was arrested at the nail salon on Wednesday.
Anyone with further information is asked to call 818-374-0081 or 877-527-3247. Police said Aranda likely went on a ‘crime spree’ and are looking to fill in other details of his whereabouts on Wednesday.
