Cameron Diaz’ wallet is returned to her by homeless woman

Cameron Diaz had her wallet returned to her by a helpful homeless woman.

The 45-year-old actress was leaving Matsuhisa restaurant in Beverly Hills on Thursday night when she dropped her wallet on the street while getting into her car.

Fortunately, a homeless woman witnessed the incident and brought the wallet back to the restaurant where Cameron retrieved it according to TMZ.

The restaurant turned the good Samaritan away after telling her that Cameron had already left for home.

Instead of keeping the cash and credit cards for herself, the woman waited outside for the police to arrive, according to the website.

When they did, the woman was more than happy to turn over the lost items.

Cameron was enjoying an evening out with her close friend Gwyneth Paltrow when the incident happened.

Gwyneth took the back exit from the restaurant to her driver as Cameron went out the front door.

There have been conflicting reports recently in regards to how the wallet was retrieved from the homeless woman.

One account said the homeless woman was tracked down by the Beverly Hills Police.

They allegedly had to search and question the woman before she returned the wallet in tact.

Either way, the lost items were returned to the rightful owner.
