Camila made sure to show off her golden skin in a form-fitting gown which featured one billowing sleeve and a plunging neckline.

‘Growing up, I had to make my own way,’ Camila said in the November issue of Ocean Drive Magazine. ‘It was not like I’m going to call Dad to pay the bills. That wasn’t part of the equation.

‘I had to figure it out. I know how to take care of a house, so I started cleaning houses.’

As she broke into the world of modeling, the brunette bombshell said that she had to ‘overcome a lot of barriers’ to attain her calm spirit.

‘I don’t see myself as being a Zen person,’ the Brazilian beauty said. ‘I see myself as being adaptable.

‘It’s a word that I like to use. I work hard. I have a lot of different assets of what I do for work.’

One of the most important assets to Camila is her five-year marriage to actor Matthew McConaughey, 47.

‘You have to have that intentional time for your marriage. We are going to go out to dinner,’ she said of maintaining their relationship. ‘We are going to get away. We are going to have adult time.

‘My family, my husband and my kids, are priority number one, above anything that I do in my life. Period. And then I have my priorities after that. If I have my priorities straight, no matter how I go about my day, no matter how busy I am, then I’m going to find time to take care of it.’

Alves said that finding time to become an American citizen and carry an American passport was ‘really important.’

‘I’ve been in this country since I was 15 years old, and it’s where I have built my adult life and my family. The opportunities that this country has, and the people who are here in this country, have allowed me to become the person I am today.

‘It’s an honor to sit here and say that I have a Brazilian passport and an American passport. I’m very proud of it.’
