Camila Morrone to join Stranger Things’ Joe Keery in heist movie Marmalade

Camila Morrone is set star in director Keir O’Donnell’s upcoming heist romantic drama movie Marmalade.

The 25-year-old model-turned-actress, who is currently dating Leonardo DiCaprio, will be starring alongside Stranger Things’ Joe Keery and Aldis Hodge.

According to Deadline, production on the forthcoming movie has recently concluded.

The movie will serve as O’Donnell’s directorial debut, and the actor also penned its script.

According to the outlet, the movie is centered ‘on a naive small-town man who ends up in jail and narrates the colorful tale of a romantic bank heist to his cunning cellmate to escape and reunite with the alluring love of his life.’

The upcoming feature was primarily shot in Minnesota.

So far, Marmalade’s release date has not been revealed.

Morrone previously started her acting career in James Franco’s unfinished feature Bukowski, which was shot in 2013.

She later made her big-screen debut in the 2018 stoner comedy feature Never Goin’ Back.

The performer went on to make appearances in films such as Death Wish, the critically acclaimed Mickey And The Bear and Valley Girl over the next few years.

She is currently preparing for the premiere of the upcoming miniseries Daisy Jones & The Six, in which she is set to appear with Riley Keough.

The show is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novel of the same name, which was released in 2019.

The series will be focused on the rise of a fictional 1970s rock band and the split that occurred at the height of its fame.

Also set to be featured in the show are performers including as Suki Waterhouse and Sam Claflin, among others.

Reese Witherspoon will serve as one of the program’s executive producers.

Development on the program initially began the same year that the book was released.

Morrone and Keough both signed on to appear in the show that year, with much of the cast being brought together in 2020 and 2021.

Production on the series began last year and eventually concluded this past May.

Daisy Jones & The Six is currently set to premiere on the Amazon Prime Video platform at an unspecified date in the future.
