According to a spokesperson, Camilla shaved her head at the beginning of treatment as her way of taking some control over this journey and while she found it confronting, she also found the move empowering.

‘Our amazing Camilla is responding well to treatment and wanted to capture where she is on her personal path fighting cancer,’ Jane McNally, the CEO of CAMILLA, said.

‘The strength and authenticity evident in these images is what we always see when she comes into the office.

‘Camilla and JP are incredibly grateful for the love and kindness shown to them throughout this time and have been touched by the messages of support. She continues to have all of our love and encouragement.’

Camilla captioned each of the photos with a powerful, personal quote.

‘I have always run wild and free. But the devil has asked me to dance. So f**k it. I’m going to show him some moves,’ Camilla captioned one of the images.

‘The drums begin. They thump through my chest and roar in my ears. A great battle rushes towards me,’ another read.

‘My determination grows with each beat of my heart and my own war cry builds. I have tasted raw terror and the salt of many tears. I am bald and broken but I will not be beaten.’

Camilla was diagnosed with breast cancer just four months after giving birth to Luna.

She announced the shock news in May and revealed she would begin treatment under one of the country’s leading oncologists ‘very shortly’.

‘I start on this journey humble but resilient; I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared but I am fearlessly determined to do whatever it takes by focusing on my body, mind and spirit as I take my first trusting steps towards recovery,’ she said.

‘Many of my wider CAMILLA tribe have already been on this journey themselves and I know will be an inspiration to me as I begin mine.

‘As you know, my beautiful daughter Luna arrived a few months ago, and it is her smile and warmth that remind me this is a challenge I will embark on with courage – for her and my fiancé as well as myself.

‘With the incredible love and support of my little family I have no doubt I will beat this.

‘I am so grateful for those around me, who have already been such an amazing support to me following this news.’

Camilla said her ‘robust executive team’ will continue to drive the brand but she intends to manage the creative direction of CAMILLA throughout her treatment.

She will do so alongside her Head of Design Jenna Redfern and Design Director Natalie Wood.

‘We have no doubt that Camilla will face the challenging weeks ahead with her usual determination and exceptional fighting spirit,’ CEO Jane McNally said.

‘The love and support of her entire tribe is with her always.

‘Over the last twelve months we’ve been focused on rapid expansion plans for the business and Camilla is entrusting us to continue this journey while she undergoes her treatment.’

‘We will continue to build on the strong foundations which have been established.’

Camilla has worked hard to juggle her business commitments and motherhood since giving birth.

In the May 2017 issue of Vogue, she said she would only be returning to her fashion empire for three days a week.

‘To begin with I’ll be working three days a week,’ she revealed, before adding: ‘These times are too precious and I don’t want to miss a moment.’

Camilla, who counts global names like Oprah and Beyonce as fans of her bespoke kaftans, said there were plenty of willing babysitters in her office.

‘I’m fortunate I can take Luna into the office with me where I have an endless supply of willing babysitters,’ she said.

The designer’s kaftans have turned into a multi-million dollar business empire, with 20 retail stores Australia-wide, and a 200-strong workforce.

Camilla said she and her partner JP Jones wouldn’t be slowing down, with the pair being avid travellers.

She said they would never stop globe-trotting, adding it’s the cornerstone of their ‘prints and collections’ each season.

With her upscale bohemian style, Camilla was philosophical about her first child, praising the adage: ‘When the child is born, the mother is also born’.

Professing to love her new role as mother-of-one, she admitted nothing could have prepared her for the experience.

'I start on this journey humble but resilient; I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared but I am fearlessly determined to do whatever it takes by focusing on my body, mind and spirit as I take my first trusting steps towards recovery,' she said

Camilla said any fears about child rearing were ‘washed away’ when the bundle of joy was placed in her arms.

The doting mother has spoken widely about her pregnancy, her ‘natural conception’ and how motherhood has changed her.

In a pregnancy announcement penned to her 281,000 followers in 2017, the successful designer spoke of how she and JP had ‘reconnected’ in 2015, 18 years after meeting while travelling.

‘Always my soulmate, a lover and a friend. You’ve always been here, from start to end. Now we’re all grown up, but we’re still just starting,’ she wrote.

‘We proudly stand here, seas apart yet never parting. Inside my belly now lays the love we’ve shared and been through.’

The pair became engaged in Wales on New Year’s Eve, and had planned to split their time between Sydney and Wales.
