And Gus Worland, who has enjoyed hundreds of interviews with A-list talent, has revealed each experience wasn’t always a pleasurable one.

Opening up: Gus Worland, who has enjoyed hundreds of interviews with A-list talent, has revealed each experience wasn’t always a pleasurable one
At the top of the veteran host’s ‘worst’ list was action star Steven Seagal.
Gus said his team were ‘so looking forward’ to chatting with him, as they were all fans of his movies.
‘But oh my goodness, he was so up his own a*** it was unbelievable! He was just really difficult to talk to. He gave one word answers, just really difficult,’ he said.

Second came another on-screen hero, Jean-Claude Van Damme, who he said was ‘exactly the same’ as Seagal.
‘Sometimes when you get to meet someone you see as a bit of a hero and then all of a sudden they give you one word answers… it’s really disappointing,’ he described.
The radio star, who went to high school with Hugh Jackman, said his third worst interview was with Mark Seymour, frontman for rock band Hunters & Collectors.
‘Sometimes when you get to meet someone you see as a bit of a hero and then all of a sudden they give you one word answers… it’s really disappointing,’ he described of Jean-Claude
He explained how the lead singer was ungracious during their chat, giving him a ‘deadpan’ answer when asked how he felt playing to a big crowd at the AFL final.
‘He looked at me deadpan and goes, “Oh, we play in front of that sort of crowd all the time, we’ve done it many times”,’ he recalled.
‘He just sort of shut me down. He said it in a way as if to say, “how dare you tell me that would be a big thing to us because we’re obviously a huge band”,’ he added.
