Can you guess who this major celebrity is? TV star looks completely unrecognisable on the streets of Sydney with ‘eshay’ look

Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington is always dressed in the finest suits for his coveted presenting gig on Channel Seven’s Sunrise.

But he also likes to dress down when he’s not in the studio, looking almost unrecognisable strutting the streets of Sydney on Friday.

The former professional sprinter, 44, appeared to be trying the ‘eshay’ look as he donned a baggy pair of blue Nike shorts and an oversized grey Nike hoodie.

Trying to go incognito, the Channel Seven presenter pulled his hood right over his face.

He paired the baggy look with long blue socks and squeaky clean white trainers.

‘Eshay’ is a slang term used predominantly in Sydney for youths that try to give off a hypermasculine appearance and wear predominantly high-end sportswear.

They often wear baggy tracksuit bottoms or shorts, polo shirts, and bum bags.

Favoured labels for the fashionable eshay include Nike, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Nautica, Adidas, Under Armour and Ellesse.

The term eshay is similar to the UK phrase ‘chav’ and can be interchangeable with ‘lad’.

While Shirvo certainly isn’t a member of the Eshay community, he appears to enjoy wearing similar sportswear as the youths when he’s not suited and booted.
