A mechanic has shared a simple trick for unlocking any car with nothing but a piece of paper however people aren’t convinced it really works.

Popular YouTuber Cam Casey tried the mechanic’s unusual method for himself in a viral video after seeing it online however viewers weren’t convinced it was real.

The hack supposedly works by placing a piece of paper over a car door handle and hitting it until it rips over the keyhole.

‘Does that actually work? Let’s find out,’ Cam said in the video before pulling on his car door to show it is locked and placing a standard A4 piece of paper over the handle.

‘We take the piece of paper and we put it over the keyhole here, now we’re just going to take it and we just start hitting it,’ he said.

After a few hits of the paper on the handle Cam appears shocked when he tries the door and it opens with ease claiming the trick ‘actually works’.

However many of Cam’s 8.1million subscribers were sceptical and said he muted the sound when someone off screen unlocked the door.

Cam tried the hack on his own car and appeared shock when it apparently worked but many were quick to point out he muted the sound when someone off screen unlocked the door

‘Bro really muted it for like half a second while he was banging so he could unlock it,’ one user speculated.

‘In case people were wondering, he has a car that automatically unlocks when your key is with you and you grab the handle. It unlocked a few seconds before pulling the handle you can hear it,’ another theorised.

‘This is fake, someone behind you unlocked the door when you was hitting it. Don’t try to scam us,’ a third commented.

Others took to mocking the ‘ridiculous’ trick and slammed the content creator for encouraging car theft.

‘Criminal: I’m saving this video,’ someone joked.

‘It works well especially if the doors are unlocked,’ laughed a second.
