‘Your angel needs to eat something’: Cancer-stricken Olivia Newton-John is trolled after sharing a photo of her bikini-clad daughter Chloe Lattanzi
Olivia Newton-John’s loyal fans jumped to her defence on Wednesday after a handful of trolls left abusive comments below one of her Instagram posts.
The 70-year-old singer, who is battling cancer for a third time, had shared a photo of her daughter Chloe Lattanzi, 32, looking slender at the beach in a bikini.
She captioned the photo, ‘My angel’, but it didn’t take long for one of her followers to comment below the snap: ‘Your angel needs to eat something’.

Olivia’s post attracted further cruel comments, with people saying Chloe looked ‘underweight’ and had undergone ‘too much plastic surgery’.
But Olivia’s supporters rallied behind her, and one follower wrote: ‘What a nasty comment, you don’t know her!’
Others claimed that Chloe, an aspiring singer, was ‘a beautiful woman like her mom’.

Chloe is Olivia’s daughter from her marriage to American actor Matt Lattanzi in the 1980s.
She previously struggled with depression for 15 years, and also had issues with anorexia, body dysmorphia, drug addiction and alcohol dependency.
Returning to Instagram this week for the first time in eight months, Chloe shared several photos from a recent family getaway.
She captioned a sweet photo of herself and Olivia hugging on the deck of a boat: ‘Momma and Me’.
In another picture, Olivia looked upbeat alongside her husband John Easterling as Chloe posed with her fiancé James Driskill.

In September last year, Olivia confirmed she was fighting cancer for a third time.
The four-time Grammy winner was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, undergoing a partial mastectomy and reconstruction.
She battled cancer for a second time in 2013, but kept the illness private.
