Canadian fans waiting to catch a glimpse of Prince Harry at an event he attended alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were fooled by the ‘sneaky’ politician.
Ever the joker, Mr Trudeau jumped at the chance to fool fans waiting for the royal by gesturing towards a redheaded man who was walking just ahead of him when people began to shout ‘Harry’.
A round of cheers then erupted as people mistakenly believed it was the Prince – only to realise it was Mr Trudeau’s personal photographer, Adam Scotti.
From a distance Mr Scotti could easily be mistaken for Prince Harry – both men have red hair, and as one person pointed out on Twitter, they were wearing similar outfits.
A fan who shared the Prime Minister’s practical joke on Twitter hailed him as a ‘sneaky prankster’.

Mr Trudeau’s fans, however, were able to see the funny side: ‘Justin Trudeau you sneaky prankster. Would the real Prince Harry please stand up?
‘Adam Scotti had me fooled for a second there,’ said Lisa, who had captured the entire mishap, adding that Mr Trudeau had ‘played them’.
‘If this whole photography lark doesn’t work out, you’ve got a back-up career in ‘5th in line to the Throne’ impersonation act,’ suggested another.
Adam Scotti is the Canadian PM’s personal photographer and follows him around at all times so that no photo opportunity is missed.
He has been snapping the PM since he came to office, and has been behind the camera for some of the Mr Trudeau’s most memorable moments.
Throughout Prince Harry’s visit to Canada for the Invictus Games fans have been desperate for a glimpse of the royal.
One person wasn’t fooled: ‘I stuck around for the real Harry but think of how many might have left and gone home saying they saw him. Whoops!’
Made to feel like a royal thrilled Mr Scotti who responded to the mishap of Twitter: ‘Made my day, thank you!’
Mr Scotti, who is Mr Trudeau’s personal photographer said that the cheers and adulation had ‘made my day’

The royal had arrived in Canada earlier in the week to launch The Invictus Games in Toronto and was joined by PM Justin Trudeau and Melania Trump
Harry made a speech at the opening ceremony and was watched by his girlfriend Meghan Markle who was seated 18 rows away
Harry is in Canada for The Invictus Games which are an inspirational Paralympic-style event for injured service personnel, created by the prince.
Some 550 competitors from 17 nations are taking part in 12 adaptive sports such as tennis, golf and basketball.
He was seen at the opening ceremony for the event seated alongside Melania Trump and Justin Trudeau, while his girlfriend Meghan Markle was seated 18 rows over.
