Candice Brown unveils new raven locks on NTAs red carpet

She was booted off the revival series of Dancing On Ice early this month, describing her early exit as upsetting.

But Candice Brown boasted her fierce recovery from the dance show as she debuted a striking raven hairdo, framed with full bangs at the National Television Awards on Tuesday evening.

The Great British Bake Off winner cut a chic figure in a pastel purple gown embellished with floral designs as she was joined by her former dance partner Matt Evers.

The dapper professional looked suave in a monochromatic checked tuxedo piece and a crisp bow tie while he supported his pal.

This glamorous appearance comes shortly after the former P.E teacher was booted after this year’s Dancing On Ice.

Candice recently revealed she was very upset to no longer be competing on the ITV show last Monday, in her first television interview since she and partner Matt Evers were booted out.

Speaking on This Morning, Candice confessed she had ‘no idea’ how her final performance was going to go, but that she ‘loved every second’ – after fans branded her elimination a ‘fix’ on.

Speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, the former PE teacher dmitted she was ‘upset’ her time on the show had come to an end, after such a fun few weeks training.

She said: ‘I didn’t know how the skate-off was going to go and we’d watched Lemar and he was amazing. I was upset, but I’ve loved every single second of it.

‘There’s not been one day since I’ve started when I’ve thought, I don’t want to do this today.’

The master baker went on to confess the show was one of the hardest things she’s ever faced – both for skating and performance reasons.

Known for her famous pout, she explained: ‘Its the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I had to ask Matt how to bow two weeks ago – and I’ve been practising my smile every day!’

Laughing, her partner Matt acknowledged how far Candice had come, adding: ‘She’s never been in a studio before, Bake Off is in a tent! So I had to teach her what a TV camera looks like, what its like to be in the spotlight.’

The baker found herself up against fellow skater Lemar Obika in the first elimination of the series.
