Two people have died and a third has been rushed to hospital with burn injuries after a horror caravan fire.

In the early hours of Saturday morning a caravan at Upper Brookfield in Brisbane’s western suburbs caught fire with multiple fire crews racing to the property on Galvin Road at about 4.30am.

Police say two people were found dead inside the caravan, which had been completely gutted with parts of the roof collapsed.

Police confirmed a 22-year-old Lowmead man and a 26-year-old Rosedale woman were killed.

Paramedics treated a third man for burns to his hands. He was taken to hospital in a stable condition. 

Police have declared a crime scene as they work to determine the cause of the fire.
