Cardi B defends Kylie Jenner’s cameo in her WAP music video in a series of since deleted tweets

Cardi B took to Twitter on Sunday to defend Kylie Jenner’s, 22, surprise cameo in her provocative WAP music video featuring Megan Thee Stallion, 25.

‘Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister [Hennessy] and daughter [Kulture] so lovely at her kid [Stormi’s] bday party,’ wrote the 27-year-old rapper in a since deleted tweet.

She added that Kylie’s baby daddy Travis Scott, 29, and her husband Offset, 28, ‘are real close’ and Kylie’s mom Kris Jenner ‘[has] been giving [her] advice on certain things [she] ask for.’

Cardi’s tweet was in reply to one fan who was bothered by the fact that Kylie ‘walked down the hall and opened a door’ in the video,’ while singer Normani, 24, performed a technical dance routine.

‘If that’s not a perfect visual indication of Black women having to do the most and white women do the bare minimum to get somewhere, I don’t know what is,’ concluded the fan, who insinuated that there was an underlying racial bias.

In another two tweets – which have since been deleted by Cardi – the Money hitmaker labeled Normani as ‘the best female artist that dances.’

She made the point that it would almost be insulting to ask someone, like Normani, with a talent for dance to ‘open a door.’

Like she dances her f**kin a*s off! Why would she open a door? Please tell me how that would make sense?’

Cardi went on to explain that the part of the song that Normani appears during happens to be the ‘best part of the song.’

‘The best part of the song is the beat & hook it what makes you want to shake your a**.’

In regards to there being a racial issue at hand, Cardi slammed the notion and wrote: ‘Not everything is about race.’

Some have even jokingly suggested replacing her with Betty White, making the Golden Girls star trend on Twitter.

It comes amid several memes throwing shade at the appearance, as many are unhappy with a white woman pulling focus during an iconic Black collab.

Although she didn’t directly mention Jenner, Cardi posted to Twitter: ‘I wanna say thank you to every woman that was apart of my video!

‘The fact that you made time in your schedules means alot to me! It was so important to me to include different women, that are different races and come from different backgrounds but are so powerful and influential.’

Cardi and Hot Girl Meg released the surprise collab just days after announcing it, and the video has since garnered more than 24million views on YouTube.
