Cardi B launches merch as WAP number one on Billboard chart

‘Power of the pu$$y!’ As her raunchy hit featuring Megan Thee Stallion debuts at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Cardi B launches WAP merch

Cardi B’s controversial song WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, made history becoming the first female rap collaboration to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with the most first week streams and as the most streamed track of 2020.

On the heels of the announcement, the Grammy-winning Bodak Yellow rapper launched WAP merchandise on her website.

From t-shirts featuring the duo’s mugs (and backsides!) stamped across the front to umbrellas and sports bras that say WAP in a graffiti font, the collection is not your traditional band merch.

The collection consists of everyday athleisure essentials for the modern day gal, including sweatsuits, biker shorts and crop tops available in a hot pink, black and white color palette.

Several pieces feature ‘WAP’ written in a graffiti font, others in hot pink neon lights.

Sheer raincoats and branded umbrellas play up the ‘wet’ theme.

Cardi’s no stranger to making money moves in the fashion industry.

Her ‘Season 2’ collection with fast fashion e-tailer Fashion Nova broke records selling 1 million in sales within 24 hours of its debut.

With a love for clothing and accessories, the former stripper gives her fans what they want without wavering on who she is.

No such thing as bad press: The raunchy track produced by Ayo & Keyz stirred up a lot of controversy, but WAP - short for Wet-A** P***y - also marked Cardi's fourth No. 1 hit and Megan's second No. 1 hit

Girl power: In the words of Cardi, ‘Who said pu$$y can’t take you to the top?!’

Her latest raunchy track produced by Ayo & Keyz stirred up a lot of controversy, but WAP – short for Wet-A** P***y – also marked Cardi’s fourth No. 1 hit and Megan’s second No. 1 hit.

Along with the catchy song, Cardi released a visually stimulating music video featuring artists like Normani, Rosalía and Rubi Rose, directed by Colin Tilley.

It has also shattered YouTube records earning the biggest ever debut week for an all-female hip-hop collaboration.
