Cardi B and Offset have been married since 2017, though she did file for divorce back in 2020, with the rapper now revealing why she called off the divorce.

The 30-year-old rapper (real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) revealed that she wanted her husband to change, in a clip from The Jason Lee Show (via ET). 

The news comes just hours after the rapper found herself back in court for failing to finish community service hours after a strip club attack.

‘Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye-to-eye. This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything,’ she said.

The divorce was ‘dismissed without prejudice in November 2020, just over a month after her initial filing, citing, ‘irreconcilable differences’

‘I’m gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me — I’ma let him say it,’ she added.

She continued, “The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me.’

She told viewers on her OnlyFans account, ‘At the end of the day, I decided I wanted to leave.

Just a month later, they were spotted kissing in Las Vegas while celebrating Cardi B’s birthday.

She revealed that she filed for divorce to teach Offset, part of the rap group Migos, a ‘lesson.’
