Cardi B says she wants to be a politician.

The rapper made the announcement via tweet on Sunday.

The 27-year-old told her followers: ‘I think I want to be a politician.I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment (sic).’

In a follow-up tweet, she explained: ‘Like I was watching War documentaries.No matter how many weapons a country have you need people ! How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American.’

An hour later, the Bodak Yellow rapper returned to Twitter to add: ‘I will have to explain a lot so I will have to do a video or a live talking about it …So imma come back to my last two tweets another day.Imma talk about it another day.’

Her fans immediately responded to her posts with a variety of memes and mocked up signs reading ‘Cardi B For President’. 

Hours later, Cardi again returned to the subject, indicating she is perfectly serious about her political aspirations.

‘I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress,’ she tweeted. ‘I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense.I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table . ‘ (sic)

On January 3, Cardi B said she is filing for Nigerian citizenship after taking a jab at Donald Trump for the increased tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

‘[It’s] sad this man is putting Americans [lives] in danger,’ she tweeted. ‘Dumbest move Trump did till date …I’m filing for my Nigerian citizenship.’ 

In December, the hitmaker performed at concerts in Nigeria and Ghana, sharing highlights from her trip on her Instagram Stories.

She said that while in Nigeria, she adopted the Nigerian name Chioma, which translates to ‘Good God’ in Igbom dialect.

Sanders told CNN the pair had discussed a variety of issues including canceling student debt, climate change and raising the minimum wage.

The video was filmed at the TEN Nail Bar in Detroit, a nail salon owned by two black women.

Meanwhile, the Bronx native whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar is facing felony charges relating to an August 2018 fight at a strip club. She has pleaded not guilty.

She appeared in court in Queens, New York, on December 10 for a hearing in the ongoing case.

Police have said Cardi B and her entourage argued with a bartender at Angels Strip Club. The dispute sparked a bottle-and-hookah-pipe throwing fracas that caused minor injuries to the woman and another employee, according to police. 

The recording artist is married to fellow rapper Offset, 28, and the couple share a daughter Kulture, born in July 2018.
