Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray delivered a damning statement following the franchise’s last-minute loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the belly of the University of Phoenix Stadium, Murray admitted his team was schematically ‘f*****’ on a critical play during its 25-24 defeat to Justin Herbert and Co.

Murray was intercepted on a 4th and 1 play where the quarterback lofted a ball toward All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the Cardinals leading 10-7 with 7:10 remaining in the first half.

Chargers safety Derwin James Jr. picked off Murray and five plays later the Chargers had a touchdown.

When asked about the play postgame, Murray gave a surprising explanation, which could be seen as a veiled shot at head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

‘That wasn’t for Hop actually,’ Murray said. ‘Schematically we were kind of f***ed.’

The comment will only stir rumors of a rift between the pair after they had a public on-field spat earlier this season.

Murray and head coach Kingsbury got into a tense exchange in an October win over the New Orleans Saints in which the quarterback screamed at his coach to ‘calm the f*** down.’

Despite repeated previous attempts to defuse the situation, many within the NFL world believe there is more than meets the eye.

Once again, the former Heisman Trophy winner took his time at the podium to publicly make clear there are no problems between the pair.

‘There is no tension,’ Murray said of his relationship with Kingsbury in the postgame press conference.

‘I think the whole thing from this whole season, it’s just been kind of not what anyone’s wanted or envisioned it to go. Between me and him though, we’re good.’
