Care Cleaning Services Sydney: Young Australian woman earns high amount as a professional cleaner

A 20-year-old Australian cleaner shocked followers when she revealed the astonishing amount of money she earns each week.

Without working any more than five hours a day, Charlotte Bosanquet brings home around $3,745 per week. In one day she earned $1,000 for three hours of work.

The young Sydney woman owns her own cleaning business, Care Cleaning Services, where she is in charge of a team of eight.

Despite being praised for her transparency, the attention the video received meant Charlotte was forced to hit back at trolls who accused her of overcharging clients or lying about how much she makes.

‘How much I make in a week as a 20-year-old cleaning business owner,’ she said on TiKTok.

On Monday, Charlotte earned $630 for five hours work. She then said she made $470 for four hours work on Tuesday. The cleaner worked from 9am to 11.30am on Wednesday and earned $600 for the two and a half hours.

The next day she brought home $600 again for four and a half hours. She worked from 10am to 2pm on her laptop on Friday for $500.

The average salary of a cleaner is $1,066 per week, a sum the young cleaner brought in in just three hours one day.

Her biggest haul was a pre-paid Sunday shift where she earned $1,000 between 11am and 2pm.

Many people congratulated Charlotte for her success. However, others accused her of ‘lying’ and said she was making far more money than cleaners generally do.

‘Liar liar liar. $470 for three hours? Cleaners get max $30 an hour,’ one man said.

The young cleaner uploaded another video to ‘bring some understanding to the situation’ and included a breakdown of her expenses.

‘Quite a few people got confused about when I said how much I make in a day, they thought that if I made $470 for three hours that I was charging just one client this. But no,’ she said.

‘How it works is I normally only work for half days but I have eight employees and they work and I profit off their jobs as well.’

Charlotte said some of the funds also came from her business where she sells e-books on setting up a business.

‘Please don’t say that I’m lying or overcharging people, I would never charge someone that much unless it was like an end of lease clean which would take a lot longer in general,’ she said.

Out of her gross income she spends $100 per week on an accountant, $20 a week each for the insurance and invoicing system, and $80 for petrol which makes a total of $230 per week.

In total, Charlotte still brings home $3,515 per week. She said she invests some of that back into the business and puts some into saving so she can save for a home.

‘Hate that you need to justify your success! You go girl,’ one woman said in support.

‘You are definitely not overcharging. You are doing a great job you are running a business, that costs a lot of money. Keep the good work up,’ a man wrote.
