Cariba Heine has revealed she and her husband Matthew Pongrass are expecting their first child together.
The H2O: Just Add Water star, 36, announced the exciting news on Instagram last week.
Enjoying a relaxing getaway at One&Only Cape Town in South Africa, the actress showed off her growing baby bump while wearing a brown bikini by the pool.
She completed her poolside attire with a white linen shirt that was unbuttoned for a relaxed fit, and accessorised with a straw hat and black sunglasses.
In her caption, Cariba thanked the $1568-per-night resort for keeping her at ease during pregnancy.
‘Spoilt doesn’t even cut it but pregnancy is HARD WORK. So I’ll take it,’ she wrote alongside her post.

‘Thank you for @oocapetown I feel very celebrated (and relaxed after that massage).’
Cariba also shared a photo of a delicious chocolate and fruit dessert, and a video of the massage room inside the resort’s luxurious spa.
In June, Cariba tied the knot with longtime partner Matthew in a lavish wedding in Tuscany, Italy.
She confirmed the news in an Instagram post on June 25, captioning the post, ‘We did.’
The pair had been dating for some time before Matthew popped the question in 2022.
Cariba is best known for her role as Rikki Chadwick in the kids mermaid TV series H2O: Just Add Water.
Her character on the show, which ran from 2006-2010, was a mermaid with special powers who was initially ‘aloof and rebellious.’
She appeared in all three seasons of the show, in addition to its spin-off series Mako: Island Of Secrets.

The South African-born actress also starred in surfing television series Blue Water High as Bridget Sanchez for its third and final season which began filming in 2007.
The show followed the lives of a young group of students at Solar Blue, a high-performance surf academy, and aired on ABC1 and Nickelodeon.
She later took on minor roles in several Australian television shows and films, including nine episodes of the children’s drama Dance Academy.
Cariba also got her big break in the US starring in Everyone Is Doing Great in 2021, alongside fellow Australian actor Alexandra Park.
Born in Johannesburg before moving to Australia with her parents and older brother when she was three years old, Cariba studied acting and dancing at the National Capital Acting School in Canberra, training in jazz, tap and classical ballet in addition to drama.
She received strong reviews playing veteran Australian entertainer Delvene Delaney in the 2012 mini-series Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War on Channel Nine.
