The brunette beauty, 53, waved to fans while boarding a stylish speed boat and could barely stop smiling.

Nailing casual-chic in a pair of light-wash jeans and a black tank top, Carla teamed her outfit with box-fresh trainers and covered her nose and mouth with a face mask.

Wearing her glossy hair loose, the singer was whisked by boat to her hotel, with just two days to go until the 78th Venice International Film Festival kicks off on September 2.

Carla toted her belongings in an oversized tote and looked radiant makeup-free.

Once on board, she removed her black face mask.

Carla made headlines earlier this year when she attacked the woke culture sweeping across France in a lengthy Instagram message complaining of ‘do-gooders’ who ‘impose their narrow-minded views on us’.

Writing in April, the wife of former President Nicolas Sarkozy made the remarks in a public letter to popular 1980s comedians Michel Colucci, known as Coluche, and Pierre Desproges.

In it, Bruni said the comedy duo would have been cancelled and attacked for lacking political correctness in today’s society.

‘Since you left, the world has gone wrong’, the singer wrote.

‘Little by little and without warning, do-gooders and censorship have taken over.

‘Obsessed by their image of upholders of morality, a whole load of people without culture, without experience and without courage are trying to impose their narrow-minded ideas on us.’

Coluche and Desproges were well known for their dark material.

Bruni’s post made no mention of her husband, Nicolas Sarkozy, 66, who was sentenced to three years in prison, two of them suspended, on corruption charges in March.
