A working mum-of-two who struggled with her fluctuating weight has slimmed down to her dream ‘beach body’ after she tweaked her lifestyle and diet.

Bank teller Carly Sullivan, from East Gippsland in Victoria, only shed nine kilos in 12 months but her body composition has changed significantly.

The 35-year-old has since dropped three dress sizes while eating six times a day without depriving herself of foods she loves.

Before her astonishing transformation, the mum said she would attempt to exercise but would end up reverting back to her old eating habits.

‘I would have phases where I would do lots of cardio then after a few weeks with no results, I’d give up. My typical day on a plate was takeaway, chips, bread, lollies and soft drink,’ Carly told Daily Mail Australia.

At her heaviest, the mum – who weighed 65.6kg and wore size 12 clothing – said she was always feeling miserable, constantly fatigued and suffered from headaches and food intolerances.

But during a family holiday in Byron Bay in September 2018, she was determined to get on top of her weight once and for all.

‘I was feeling uncomfortable around all of the perfect beach bodies and decided it was time to do something about it,’ she said.

She signed up to Move with Us, a science-based fitness program offering fully customised workouts and meal plans after stumbling across an ad on Instagram.

‘I started training six days a week, getting in extra steps, calorie counting, drinking three litres of water a day and aiming for my eight hours sleep a night,’ she said.

‘I lost nearly nine kilos in 12 months – and since then I’ve transitioned to gaining muscle. I now weigh around 59 to 60kg.’

After her astonishing transformation, Carly – who’s now a size six to eight – said she feels like an entirely different person.

‘I’m much more confident in myself now. My goals are always changing but I’m finally happy with where I’m at. For almost a 36-year-old mum of two I think I’m doing ok,’ she said.

Her diet includes six meals a day – and she still indulges in her guilty pleasures.

‘I treat myself every day. I can’t live without having chocolate or Biscoff every day,’ she said.

For those struggling to lose weight, she suggested: ‘Put some time and effort in for yourself and watch how much your life changes.

‘Don’t aim to be perfect, no one is. Just take it day by day, try your best and don’t give up. I always say time is going to pass any way, you can either stay the same in six to 12 months or be proud of your achievements and be rocking your dream body.

‘I wouldn’t change anything about my journey – it has been enjoyable every step of the way.’
