Caroline Springs stabbing: Teen fighting for life after stabbing outside CS Square Shopping Centre

A teenager has been rushed to hospital with life threatening injuries after he was allegedly stabbed near a shopping centre.

The alleged incident happened near the CS Square Shopping Centre in Caroline Springs in Melbourne’s west on Thursday.

Police were called to Lake St, near the shopping centre at 5.15pm after reports of a stabbing. 

The suspects had left the scene by the time police arrived. 

The boy suffered stab wounds to to his hand and body and was rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital. 

Police described the boy’s injuries as ‘life threatening’. 

 ‘Investigators are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and the investigation is ongoing but it is believed the offenders have left the area,’ Victoria Police said in a statement.

 ‘A male has been transported by road ambulance to Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious upper body injuries,’ an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.
