The scene occurs early in the episode, when Carrie — unable to brew coffee at the old apartment where she used to live before she was married — drops into a nearby bodega.

The man behind the counter warmly greets her, calling her Caroline.

That Caroline is Carrie’s full name was news to many fans, even though it’s not technically new information for the most die-hard among them.

Carrie’s Wikipedia page has listed her full name as Caroline Marie ‘Carrie’ Bradshaw for years now, but this is the first time the series has confirmed used it.

Avid fans of the series quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the reveal, with one writing, ‘That awkward moment when you’ve been watching SATC for 20 years and realize Carrie’s name is Caroline.’

Another added: ‘In 20 years I have NEVER considered that Carrie’s name was short for Caroline.’

During the first episode, in a surprising turn of events, Carrie’s husband Mr. Big, played by actor Chris Noth, passed away from a sudden heart attack while working out on a Peloton machine.

Although the news of Big’s demise was exclusively revealed by DailyMail.com back in August, the longtime character’s death certainly stunned many fans of the show.

Viewers are also speculating that Carrie has dementia in the reboot, after she put coffee in the freezer and forgot what she was talking about mid-conversation during one particularly eye-brow raising scene.

The scene in question took place in episode two, and it showed Carrie and Miranda hanging out in Carrie’s kitchen on the morning after Mr Big’s sudden death.

When Miranda asked Carrie where she kept her coffee, fans were left puzzled when she told her it was in the freezer – certainly a questionable place to keep her morning Joe.

And while some people were convinced that was a clue that the character was suffering from memory loss, others believed she simply put the java in the freezer to keep it fresh.

Miranda then told Carrie that she was going to make them some, to which Carrie asked, ‘Some what?’ – like she had already forgotten what they were talking about.

The scene quickly caused an uproar on social media, with many fans debating over whether or not it was a clue about Carrie’s health.

According to Alzheimers.org, symptoms of dementia include memory loss, difficulty concentrating, planning or organizing, problems with language and communication, misunderstanding what is being seen, being confused about time and place, and more.

It reported that people with dementia also tend to hide things in strange places.

Although everyone agreed that her actions were odd, some people thought she may have just been confused because of stress and grief.
