Seven-time Grammy winner Carrie Underwood surprised the ‘incredible’ kids of Andrew Jackson Elementary School Eagle Honor Choir in a clip from a CMA Fest special airing this Sunday on ABC.

The unsuspecting third and fourth graders had been rehearsing their rendition of the 36-year-old country crooner’s hit The Champion at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

‘I heard they were over here rehearsing today, so I just wanted to drop by and give my love and encouragement,’ the American Idol 2005 champ said in a CMA Foundation video posted Monday.

Carrie first learned about the children’s choir from their Facebook post of her song on May 10, which they went on to perform at CMA Music Festival on June 10.

Underwood also performed at CMA Fest on June 10, and fans can catch more of the show in the special, co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett, airing this Sunday on ABC.

Back at home, the Oklahoma-born blonde and her husband Mike Fisher have their hands full caring for four-year-old son Isaiah and six-month-old son Jacob.
